Hōhepa has four regional communities across New Zealand and demand for Hōhepa Canterbury’s services has jumped in the last decade. Its general manager, Arnah Trelese, credits Paul’s governance, financial guidance and advocacy with helping to drive the success and sustainability of the organisation in the face of that growth.
Government funding covers 85 percent of Hōhepa’s annual operating income, and it relies on community generosity to maintain its services and fund capital development. You can help by supporting its fundraising appeals, sponsoring recreational programmes or granting a bursary for self-advocacy or educational activities.
