At Oxford Edge, we are committed to leveraging the latest technology to enhance our services and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
Generative AI is the new kid on the tech block and our advice is to get stuck in and start using it. Which is what we have done, starting with a proposal that laid the groundwork for integrating AI into our practice.
Under the proposal, we reviewed various platforms and identified key considerations such as security, privacy, training and guardrails. We opted for Copilot for Microsoft 365, a platform with Enterprise-grade data protection making it very secure and data is stored within Australia and New Zealand. It integrates with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, thus streamlining tasks and improving efficiency. Implementing an AI policy was also required, to establish guidelines and best practices for the responsible and ethical use of this new technology.
To roll out our chosen AI platform, our strategy has been to create a group of product champions within our team. These champions work with a full Copilot licence while the rest of the team use the free version, with the same training and guardrails in place. The latter include blocks to sharing sensitive client information and ensuring human oversight of all AI generated material.
We use Copilot for various tasks across different Microsoft applications such as taking minutes, recapping meetings, and scheduling in MS Teams and analysing data in MS Excel.
AI is just the latest iteration of technological change. At Oxford Edge, we focus on whole-team training to foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation. This includes building prompt skills, creating feedback cycles and staying updated on regulations.
We are still experimenting with how best AI can help us deliver excellence to our clients. The possibilities are endless and that makes for an exciting future for us all.
