Background
The Flooring Centre is a Christchurch business selling carpet, timber, vinyl, laminate and other floorings. The business has a showroom in Riccarton and an online store, and deals primarily with commercial customers and trades as well as some business dealing with retail customers and DIYers. Part of the service is expert advice on what types of flooring to use in a home or commercial property.
Over the past decade, the business has experienced massive changes and had to deal with several unprecedented curve balls, starting with the uncertainty of the Christchurch earthquakes and the subsequent economic boom period. This was followed by an economic downturn and the tumultuous Covid-19 lockdowns.
