# The Flooring Centre
#### Background
The Flooring Centre is a Christchurch business selling carpet, timber, vinyl, laminate and other floorings. The business has a showroom in Riccarton and an online store, and deals primarily with commercial customers and trades as well as some business dealing with retail customers and DIYers. Part of the service is expert advice on what types of flooring to use in a home or commercial property.
Over the past decade, the business has experienced massive changes and had to deal with several unprecedented curve balls, starting with the uncertainty of the Christchurch earthquakes and the subsequent economic boom period. This was followed by an economic downturn and the tumultuous Covid-19 lockdowns.
Oxford Edge Director Paul Rickerby has worked with The Flooring Centre through all these times.
#### What our client says
“Whatever our need, we have always found that the Oxford Edge team are able to provide us with the best possible advice and solutions for any given situation.” – Steve Musson, Managing Director, The Flooring Centre
#### What we did
Oxford Edge assisted The Flooring Centre with everything from major strategic planning to day-to-day general business advice and consultancy, or even just to talk over issues on the phone and act as a sounding board. Oxford Edge Director Paul Rickerby worked with the business on accounting and financial planning, as well as providing strategy advice and helping with major business decisions.
