How it works

Our friendly client coordinator will contact you to request your annual accounts information, such as your annual supporting documents. Supporting documents can include documents such as bank statements, rental statements, donation certificate and RWT certificate. Remember the normal tax cycle in New Zealand is from 1 April to 31 March unless you applied for different dates.

Alternatively, if you have a specific member of our team who works with you regularly, they will contact you personally to remind you about handing in your annual information.

Read our article on how to prepare for your annual accounts and returns for more information.

What you can expect

Once you provide us with sufficient information to prepare your annual accounts and returns, our experts start the drafting process. During this process, if we have any further queries, we contact you again to clarify or request more information.

We put together and prepare your annual accounts and returns and ensure you meet IRD obligations.

What happens next?

We contact you to advise that your annual accounts have been finalised. You receive your annual accounts and tax returns. There will also be a letter advising you on your tax refund or the amount of tax you need to pay and by when.

You have the option of having a meeting with us to discuss the annual accounts or if you prefer, we will present your accounts via the portal. The portal is our way of presenting financial information to you digitally.

How do we complete the cycle?

We need your signature on the tax return and accounts, which gives us authority to file your tax return with IRD.

You can do this electronically via the portal. Easy-peasy! No more worrying about your accounts for another year.
