When you make direct credit payments, we recommend using the 'pay tax' function provided by most New Zealand banks – there is no fee for this easy service. You will need your IRD number, tax type and period you are paying. If your bank doesn’t have a ‘pay tax’ feature, you can transfer into the IRD’s bank account – here’s the IRD bank account number Inland Revenue Department 03-0049-0001100-27 #### Paying tax by credit card You will need a MyIR account for this. Log in to MyIR. Select 'Make a payment', then 'Credit card payment'.
